We Are Social Entrepreneurs
One Health Organisation (OHO) is now the largest organisation of its kind in the world, and the only United Nations DPI registered Social Innovation Agency to advocate a wellness based approach to primary health care.
OHO’s approach to achieving world health is fourfold: individual engagement, community collaboration, ethical business and systemic change. Via these four pillars, OHO engages individuals in community work, supports other social ventures to achieve their goals, transitions business and corporations to a social enterprise approach, and advocates at a national and international level for equitable, sustainable and integrative healthcare policy.
“You can’t describe us by what we are not; we are not ‘non-profit’, we are not ‘non-government’. We are social entrepreneurs”
“We live in a time with problems of a global scale, a time when the power of a single individual to effect change appears increasingly impossible. And yet the global village we live in also means that the effects of our choices cross oceans and span continents.
Further yet, decisions made today will echo through time, being felt by the seventh generation to come and beyond. We are bound together by undeniable and powerful webs of technology, ecology, economy and culture.
Despite the unprecedented scale of these structures, never before has the power of individual choice and action been so profound and far reaching”
